Executive Director

 

Summary

Location: Cobourg, ON

Contract/hours: 37.5 hours per week

Position Summary

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is the key management leader of Rebound and provides leadership in overseeing and operationalizing the strategic plan. The Executive Director assumes responsibility for the development and implementation of the overall strategic direction of the organization in accordance with the vision, mission, values and the strategy as approved by the Board of Directors.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify priorities and objectives for the success of Rebound’s vision

  • Oversee the administration of the organization including human resources, operations, and finance

  • Ensure programs and services align with Rebound’s mandate and strategic objectives

  • Maintain and develop strong community connections and partnerships

  • Pursue continued innovation and communication with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Ensure Rebound is represented at key community planning and advocacy tables

  • Elevate Rebound’s brand profile through effective promotion with funders and key community stakeholders as well as the general public

  • Assume the role of a spokesperson for the organization with stakeholder and media engagement

  • Oversee the creation of communications, marketing, and outreach plans


Qualifications, Experience & Requirements

  • Experience in a leadership role in the not-for-profit sector

  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and have a transparent and supportive leadership style

  • Experience and skill in working with a Board of Directors, coupled with a high-level strategic thinking and planning skills

  • Demonstrate ability to oversee and collaborate with staff, and a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility

  • Experience generating new revenue streams and improving financial results, as well as fundraising and donor relation skills

  • Strong communication skills reflected in effectively communicating an organization’s mission to internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong public speaking ability

  • Experience in budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and reporting

  • Proven success in establishing relationships

  • Knowledge of Northumberland County’s social and health service ecology is considered an asset, as is a Masters and/or a Bachelor’s Degree.
