International Women's Day

Rebound’s team is full of strong women breaking barriers and leading by example. This International Women’s Day, to celebrate the great strides that communities of women everywhere have achieved, we asked two members of Rebound’s leadership team to share with us who inspired them and to encourage our young female leaders of the future. Read what they had to say:

Carol Beauchamp, Executive Director

“There have been many women who have inspired and mentored me throughout my life, but two of the most important women in my life were my Mum and my Nana.  My Mum encouraged me never to accept anything less than equality in the workplace, and to push through the glass ceiling.  My Nana had a tremendous work ethic and inspired me to work hard to achieve my goals.  Both of these important women in my life taught me compassion for others, to be open to difference and to celebrate uniqueness in all its forms. 

I continue to be inspired daily by many close friends near and far, as well as by many colleagues throughout the years, and by the tremendous team of coworkers I have the privilege to work alongside at Rebound.”

“As a Momma of an 18-month old daughter I am constantly taking into consideration every action I make, ensuring that I’m staying positive, providing encouragement, and giving everything my all. I want my daughter and all the young girls to know that life will be effortless if you learn how to rely upon yourself and your intellect; if you celebrate every failure as an opportunity to do things better the next time; and if you learn how to have healthy, loving relationships with people who help you grow and improve.”
