Rebound Asks the Community to Spread Love to Those in Need This Valentine’s Day

Northumberland County – Rebound Child & Youth Services Northumberland (Rebound) is asking community members for support in reaching its February fundraising goal of $5,000. With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to show love to the children and youth in Northumberland County.

From Homework Help to Mental Health Supportive Services, Rebound offers programs and services that help children and youth succeed when they’re most vulnerable. The community-based programs and services focus on developing young people socially, emotionally, and academically through group learning and proactive skills-building. A donation of as little as $50 can provide two weeks of group programming for a young person in Northumberland County.

“We count on generous community members to provide us with the resources we need to continue supporting the vulnerable children and youth in Northumberland County,” said Carol Beauchamp, executive director, Rebound. “Parents have told us time and time again how Rebound is impacting their child’s life, and how if it weren’t for this organization they wouldn’t know where to turn.”

Donations can be made on Rebound’s website, rcys.ca. Any amount, no matter how big or small, will change the course of a young person’s life. Last year, Rebound supported a total of over 1,000 children and youth. The need exists within Northumberland County and with the help of generous community members, Rebound can continue impacting the lives of young people.
