Why do you feel it’s important to volunteer with youth?
I feel that volunteering with youth is essential since they are the future. When our generation becomes older, the youth will assume leadership. Volunteering with children will provide them with the confidence and skills necessary to impact the world. Volunteering will provide students with the skills necessary for future success.
What advice would you give someone who is thinking about volunteering as a tutor?
I would recommend taking one's time. If a student needs tutoring, it is because they are struggling and eager to accept assistance. If someone is underperforming in a particular topic, do not attempt to speed them up. Everyone has needed assistance at some point, and that is normal. If you make your student feel secure and at ease, they will improve. I would tell someone to just be patient and make their students comfortable, as I believe it to be of the utmost significance.
