Ontario Helps Fund Upgraded Spaces at Rebound Child and Youth Services.

Press Release

Cobourg, ON - On Thursday, MPP David Piccini was at the Rebound Child and Youth Services Northumberland (Rebound) to formally congratulate the organization on receiving a $39,600 Capital grant from the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) last fall.

“Not-for-profit organizations like Rebound Child and Youth Services are integral to providing wrap-around support for our community,” said David Piccini, MPP for Northumberland-Peterborough South. “Ontario is proud to fund projects like this which will improve therapeutic spaces and provide support for vulnerable children, youth and families.”

The funding enabled Rebound to enhance its facilities, including creating inclusive spaces with new multi-sensory furniture, custom locally made tables and benches, and a new smart screen, along with other essential improvements to better meet the needs of all youth. These upgrades help create a more welcoming and engaging environment for children, youth, and their families.

“These enhancements are crucial for setting our clients up for success on their journey.” Sam Rockbrune, Rebound’s Executive Director.  “From the first moment children, youth and their families enter our welcoming and engaging space, to their sessions with counsellors in the updated meeting rooms, it’s clear that this place is designed for them and their needs.”
